Scholarships and Awards

This award is presented annually to a senior music student who is planning to pursue music in college and has made significant contributions to the Samohi Music Department. Interviews are usually conducted in May/June.

Preliminary auditions at each school will determine 8 finalists. A final performance will determine scholarship awards, 1st through 4th in each grade category (Grades 9-10 and Grades 11-12). All those who place will be honored at a luncheon. The first place winners will perform at the luncheon. Auditions are usually held in May/June.
