The 2008 Show - Come Together!
The 2008 Field Show will feature the music of the Fab 4! In a move away from "artsy" and "serious" music, the Samohi Viking Marching Band will perform some of the most popular, creative, and enduring music of all time - the music of the Beatles!
With copyright permission secured through Hal Leonard (the print right manager), Carl Hammer has once again prepared our custom arrangements. They will include Come Together; Eleanor Rigby; Here, There and Everywhere; Here Comes the Sun; and All You Need Is Love. Jeremy Miller will be preparing the Percussion Book. The Visual Book will be composed by Peter Gomez and Carl Hammer.
The parade march will be The Stars and Stripes Forever - John Philip Sousa.
Of course, the band will continue to perform its regular line up of school songs and stand tunes.
