  • 2013 Honor Audition Requirements 2013 Honor Audition Requirements Hoping for an early start to prepare your audition for the 2013 Honor Groups? The required solos and scales are now posted at the CBDA (California Band Directors Association) website. The requirements are the same for the CBDA Honor Bands, CODA Honor Orchestras and the SCSBOA Honor Bands and Orchestras.

     

SCSBOA Band and Orchestra Festival

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! to all festival volunteers, adjudicators, teachers and students! The 2012 Band and Orchestra Festival successfully showcased our many talented student musicians - along with numerous friends and neighbors from visiting music programs. Under the scrutiny of critical evaluation, many ensembles achieved the highest rating possible - "Superior."

The Santa Monica - Malibu Unified School District will host a SCSBOA Band and Orchestra Festival in Barnum Hall on the Santa Monica High School Campus in March or April of 2013. The first day will be for Concert Bands, and the second day will be for Orchestras. This Festival will be adjudicated by the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA). We will post specific dates when they become available.
